Credit and Collections

Lund Oil, Inc. is looking for a detail oriented and self-motivated individual to take on the responsibility of credit and collections analyst.  This key position applies principles of credit review/analysis and collection methods to evaluate customer credit worthiness along with A/R portfolio analysis and effect collections.

Responsibilities (others may be assigned):

  • Enters, updates, and retrieves information for credit applications, and reviews credit applications when needed
  • Analyzes financial data, statements, and trends, and sets new customer credit limits on the basis of findings
  • Recommends credit limits following company credit policies
  • Conducts credit reviews of existing customers
  • Actively monitors risk trends on behalf of management and sales personnel
  • Provides assistance with company and clients audits where applicable
  • Present collections’ updates to management on the delinquent A/R reports
  • Lower Company DSO to within guidelines
  • Supervise A/R functions, including cash applications and account reconciliation
  • Help implement effective collection procedures
  • Help with Invoice preparation and sending
  • Contact clients for payment resolution
  • Resolve payment discrepancies

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent financial statement analytical skills, and credit evaluation.
  • Good working knowledge of bankruptcy rules, in areas of preference.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel in conjunction with financial statement analysis.
  • Able to use and navigate QuickBooks efficiently
  • Detailed oriented with good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and be proactive when problem solving.
  • Has some credit experience
  • Doesn’t mind getting in the weeds with some day to day collection work
  • Has foundational knowledge i.e. standard ratio analysis, bank lines, credit lines, trade practices, assessing credit profiles
  • Can professionally interact with and interview customers on their credit profile
  • Knowledge of accounts receivable
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
  • Trade Credit Management Experience a +
  • College Degree a +

· Class A CDL with tanker endorsement

· Hazmat Endorsement

· One (1) year Gas ,Fuel or propane delivery experience is preferred

· Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings (drug tests, background, etc.)

· Safe driving record for past 5 years

· Current DOT Medical Card

· Maintain a safe work environment at all times

· Flexible schedules to suit the needs of our customers

· Ability to complete all required daily documentation correctly (inspections reports, delivery tickets, log books, etc.)
