The Truck & Trailer Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company trucks, trailers, and related equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This position performs a variety of mechanical, electrical, brake, suspension, and preventative maintenance repairs while adhering to manufacturer specifications, company standards, and all applicable safety regulations. The ideal candidate possesses strong diagnostic abilities, excellent mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to producing quality workmanship that minimizes equipment downtime and supports operational success.
· Perform diagnostic tests and inspections to identify issues with vehicles.
· Repair and maintain vehicles according to manufacturer specifications.
· Conduct brake repairs and replacements.
· Service air brakes and other brake systems.
· Inspect and replace shocks and struts.
· Perform electrical repairs and troubleshooting.
· Perform suspension repairs.
· Conduct mechanical repairs on various vehicle components.
- Regular operation in oilfield and industrial settings
- Exposure to uneven terrain, gravel roads, mud, dust, and extreme weather conditions
- Work may include extended hours, early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Independent work with limited supervision in remote locations
· Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role.
· Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics and repair techniques.
· Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing brake systems, air brakes, shocks, struts, electrical systems, and suspension components.
· Familiarity with Cummins engines is a plus.
· Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
· Excellent problem-solving skills.
· Acceptable driving record.
· CDL preferred but not required.
· 2 years’ experience as a Service Technician or similar role.
· Knowledge of safe driving practices.
· Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions
